Content Editors contribute to this team by writing new hotel descriptions and resolving change requests submitted by hotels and internal customers. Often, these requests can be updates or amendments to hotel descriptions and amenities. Cases range from simple to very complex requests. Content Editors work closely with market managers, hotel partners, international content teams, star ratings teams, destination services teams, and geography teams.
Responsibilities:
Write and edit hotel content
Address change requests, clarifying details when necessary, and making changes in appropriate parts of the descriptive text and bulleted attributes, while adhering to in-house style guidelines
Work efficiently towards daily targets and team metrics
Provide project support as required to meet overarching content goals
Be well-versed in Hotel Content style guidelines and vigilant in employing them
Assume other writing/editing/project tasks as assigned
3 to 5 years of editorial experience, preferably with e-commerce content development
Bachelors degree in Journalism, English, or related field
Excellent writing, spelling, and grammar skills, with strong attention to detail
Ability to work and learn independently, as well as collaborate with larger teams
Excellent interpersonal skills, self-direction, and drive
Ability to learn new software and technical processes quickly
Excellent quality-control ability and organizational abilities
Proven ability to resolve a high volume of work in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to manage small projects from start to finish
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required
Experience with content databases and management tools
