Primary Responsibilities:
Medical coding for a large medical group. Review progress note and code according to Providers notes.
Quality and quantity position with emphasis on ICD-9 coding for Primary Care Providers.
Computer knowledge. Knowledge of 10 key desired.
Requirements:
High school education or equivalent experience.
Must have 1 – 2 years experience with ICD-9 coding.
2 yrs experience in a Medical Business Office setting.
Knowledge of billing PPO’s, commercial Medicare and HMO’s is required.
Must be open to cross training for different job duties within the business office.
Medical Terminology a plus.
